The coastline of oregon has always been
one of our favoriate scenic drives.

We're sure you'll agree !
Here in Tillamook County,
they tend to focus our attention on one thing - cheese.
As a farmer owned cooperative, they take pride in
continuing the tradition of quality cheese making
started a century ago. They believe it takes a purity
of purpose to make cheese like Tillamook.
That's why they've used the same great cheese
recipe for over 100 years, and why
they'll continue to use it in the future.

THE TILLAMOOK CHEESE FACTORY
Is the largest cheese factory in the state and one of Oregon's
most visited tourist attraction, attracting 750,000 visitors each year.
You can take the video tour, watch the cheese makers
from the observation deck, visit the gift shop,
sample the cheese and curds, buy your lunch
at the deli and taste some of the most
delicious ice cream in the world - Tillamook Ice Cream.
(Jim came for the cheese, and Sally, definitely the ice cream)
Here's where
they process
their cheese.
Ah... Cheese
at last......

BLOWER BAY, OREGON
"It is said, in the 1800's a ship sank in this bay.
And, if you listen carefully
when the wind blows,
one can hear what sounds like a "whistle"
coming from the ship."
Highway 101, the Pacific Coast Highway, stretches from Olympia, Washington to Los Angeles, by way of the Olympic Peninsula. In California, it begins near Crescent City and follows the coast to Eureka, where it turns inland.
It crosses the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco and continues down the peninsula on the West Side of San Francisco Bay, through San Jose, returning to the coast just south of San Luis Obispo. It follows the coast to Ventura, from which it takes an inland route to Los Angeles, where it disappears into the complex of downtown expressways
